The cookies and similar storage convli uses, by where they appear. Short version: the website sets analytics cookies only if you accept them, the header tag sets none, and the console needs a few strictly necessary ones.
1. Public website
il_lang — remembers the language you chose explicitly. One year, strictly necessary, set only when you choose.
il-theme (localStorage) — remembers Light or Dark. Never sent to our servers.
il-consent (localStorage) — remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics. Asked again after twelve months. Never sent to our servers.
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) — set only if you accept in the cookie banner; they measure visits in aggregate and last up to thirteen months. Until you accept, or if you reject, Google Analytics runs without cookies and stores nothing on your device.
No advertising cookies: advertising and ad-personalisation signals are always off.
2. Console
Supabase session cookies (sb-*) — keep you signed in; httpOnly, strictly necessary.
il_demo — a signed demo-session cookie used only in demo mode; expires after eight hours.
Device-verification and two-factor state — strictly necessary security cookies for administrators and new devices.
il-theme and small UI preferences (localStorage) — never sent to our servers.
3. Publisher sites with the tag
The tag sets no cookies or identifiers on readers. It caches its config in sessionStorage for sixty seconds and remembers a dismissed Spotlight card in localStorage. Video facades load the YouTube or TikTok player only after a tap; from then on that platform’s policy applies.
4. Merchant and network cookies
Clicking a sponsored link takes you to the network and the merchant, which may set their own attribution cookies under their policies.
5. Managing cookies
On this website, “Cookie preferences” in the footer lets you accept or withdraw analytics at any time; withdrawing also deletes the Google Analytics cookies. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking the console’s strictly necessary cookies prevents sign-in.
